Understanding Media Analytics
VIDIZMO allows you to analyze usage of your uploaded content on a continuous basis. Analytics are generated for every media file uploaded, helping users assess performance from various perspectives.
Time Frame Selection
Analytics can be filtered by duration:
- Last or current week
- Last or current month
- Last or current year
- Custom date range
Media Statistics
VIDIZMO tracks the following metrics for each media:
- Impressions - Total number of times users accessed the media's playback page (player loaded)
- Views - Total number of views for the media. Multiple views can come from a single viewer.
- Completions - Total number of times viewers completely watched the media. The completion threshold can be configured in media settings during upload.
- Shares - Number of times the media was shared
- Likes - Number of likes received
- Comments - Total number of approved comments displayed on the playback page
User Activity Summary
Displays individual user engagement with the selected media:
- User Name - Name of the user
- Media Progress - Percentage of media watched by the user
- Impressions - Number of times the user accessed the playback page
- Views - Number of views by this user
- Completions - Number of times the user completely watched the media
- Interaction - User engagement metrics:
- Downloads
- Shares
- Likes
- Favorites
- Comments
- Time Played - Total time the user played the media
- Last Access Date/Time - Timestamp of the user's last access
Engagement Trends
Graphical representation of impressions, views, completions, and time played over the selected time period. Displays trends as a line chart with data points for each day/week/month.
Top Devices
Bar chart showing media consumption by device type:
- Desktop
- Mobile
- Tablet
Each device category displays impressions, views, completions, and time played.
Top Browsers
Pie chart showing media playback distribution across web browsers. Use the dropdown to filter by:
- Impressions
- Views
- Completions
- Time played
Embeds
Bar chart showing external websites where the media has been embedded. Allows assessment of video presence across different platforms, including:
- Site URL
- View count per site
- Last playback timestamp
Demographics
Geographic heat map showing the intensity of media consumption by location. Filter by:
- Impressions
- Views
- Completions
- Time played
Data can be viewed by country, city, or specific location.
Note: Demographics is derived from the visitor's IP address, and Top Browsers and Top Devices are derived from the user agent. If a portal administrator enables Also disable IP-based geo-location and access restriction or Also disable User Agent–based analytics and bot detection on the Portal Masking page, no new data accrues for the affected chart while that option is on. Video Heat Map
Timeline-based heat map showing viewer engagement throughout the video duration:
- Video divided into segments
- Color intensity indicates view count (darker = more views)
- Identifies which parts of the video were most watched
- Helps assess content engagement and viewer drop-off points
View Options
All analytics support:
- Graph view - Visual representation (charts, heat maps)
- Table view - Tabular data format
- CSV export - Download data for external analysis
